Shoehorns allow the foot to slide into a leather shoe without crushing the back of the shoe and oxhorn was the original shoe horn because it is strong, and, when polished, smooth so as to help the foot slide into the shoe.
Our logo-free 12" (30 cm) tip-end horn with a leather strap is hand-crafted in England from oxhorn using a method of manufacture that has barely changed for centuries. It remains the elegant complement to a wardrobe of fine leather shoes.
No animals are ever killed solely for the horn, which is a by-product of the meat industry. |
